Seven signs your helper is going to be a good helper. What are the chances of them making it? How likely are they going to be good? After talking to hundreds and meeting hundreds of employers, even millionaires, I asked myself the questions, what is it that makes the helper good? I’ve always been fascinated by the mindset of the super good helpers, their discipline, their focus, their determination in the face of difficulties, what makes them different? These are not theories, these are signs. Let’s see how many of these signs do your helper have.

Sign 1: Good Helper have great habits

Good helpers are where they are today because of their habits. Habits determine 95% of a person’s behavior. Everything that you are today, everything that you accomplish in the future, is determined by the quality of the habits that you form. What I found is that good helpers have good habits. Good habits can be getting up in the morning, making your bed, washing your hand and legs whenever you are back etc. How many do they have?

Sign 2: Good Helper are incredibly driven

How driven are your helper? It's their personal drive that pushes them into actions into results. It’s that drive that keeps them going when things get tough. That drive that enable them to bounce back from disappointment. So how driven are they, or are they lazy?

Sign 3: Good Helper are confident in their abilities

Two biggest enemies to success is, number one, self-doubt, number two, fear of the unknown. We struggle with self-doubt; we worry are we doing the right thing? Are we doing good enough? Confidence is nothing more than believing in yourselves and believing in yourself is nothing more than doing the things that you once didn’t believe that you could do. As an employer, with your constant encouragement, you may turn them into competence helper. These helpers are very fast learners and take pride in whatever they do.

Sign 4: Good Helper have good communication skills

If your helper can speak English, Chinese, Malay, Taglog, Cantonese, Teochew, French, need I say more?

Sign 5: Good Helper have a growth mindset

When you hear that your helper besides sending money back to their family, they also set aside their salary to buy a land, build a house, you know that they have a purpose, they want a better future and they will work hard for it.

Sign 6: Good Helper are self-aware

Means they know what they are good at, what they are not good at. What their strengths are, and what they weaknesses are. They know how to manage their emotions. They refuse to feel inadequate. One good example is my helper. My helper do not know how to cook Chinese food. I also do not know how to cook. And therefore not able to teach her how to cook but I always crave to have home-cooked meals. Thus, many a times, my helper will learn and cook for me and even thou I am very picky and criticise her cooking, she never give up. She keep trying and trying and finally, she can cook what I like now. Just keep going.

Sign 7: Good helper have high EQ

Not IQ but EQ. They may not be the smartest people in the world, but they surround themselves with smart people. In helper’s case, if you do not know how to cook Chinese food, surround with those who knows and cooks well. High EQ means they don’t crack under pressure, they don’t talk back. They stay calm. They know how to deal with stress. They know how to deal with anxiety.

If your helper have a few of these signs, congratulations.

Now, having these signs is one thing, but you need one more thing, and that is, you combine theses signs with skills, that’s how you truly have a good helper.

Employers duties never end.

Transform your life at home!
